At a Vietnam airport, follow the pickup instructions for your actual terminal and booking. Do not assume that every airport uses the same meeting point or that a driver can collect you from the nearest exit. Confirm the vehicle and trip in the app before getting in.
Arrange connectivity before requesting the ride
Make sure you can use the app after leaving the terminal’s Wi-Fi area. Keep your destination address ready in Vietnamese as well as the booking name if possible. A hotel chain or apartment complex may have more than one entrance or location.

Understand the Da Nang exception without generalizing it
A Grab announcement dated June 29, 2026 described a PIN-based pickup pilot at Da Nang’s domestic terminal from June 30, alongside the existing method. That does not establish a universal procedure for all terminals or airports.
Use the method and instructions displayed for your current trip. If they differ from an old screenshot or article, seek help through the app or the designated airport service point rather than improvising a handoff.
Request the right vehicle at the right time
Collect your luggage and establish how to reach the pickup area before requesting an immediate ride. A group with large bags may need a different vehicle arrangement from the same number of people carrying only small daypacks.
Grab’s advance-booking page describes another option, but availability and terms need to be checked in the app for your location and date. Pre-booking should not be treated as a blanket guarantee against delays.

Resolve mismatches before departure
If the license plate, driver or destination does not match, stop and check through the official app. Keep communication tied to the actual trip. If the pickup fails, review the booking status before requesting another vehicle so you understand whether a trip remains active.
