Xuan Huong Lake

Start Da Lat with the lake, market and railway station, then choose one countryside direction each day. The city’s hills and scattered sights make a long checklist less practical than it looks. These ten picks combine easy central stops with outings that need transport. Check current access and activity arrangements before travelling to a waterfall or mountain site.

1. Xuan Huong Lake

Xuan Huong Lake is an easy reference point for finding your way around central Da Lat. Choose a short lakeside section for a walk and a break rather than feeling obliged to circle it. It is especially useful on your arrival day, when you want fresh air without arranging another long journey.

2. Lam Vien Square

The square’s distinctive glass structures make it one of Da Lat’s most recognisable modern stops. Pair it with the lake and take time to look at the city around it. The open space has limited shade in places, so choose your timing for comfort rather than just a particular photograph.

3. Da Lat Market

The central market is a lively place to browse produce, flowers and local snacks. Compare what you see before buying and ask about portion sizes at food stalls. The area changes in atmosphere through the day. Keep your visit flexible so you can stop when something interests you.

4. Da Lat Railway Station

The station is worth a visit for its architecture even before considering a train ride. If you want the tourist service toward Trai Mat, confirm the current departure arrangements at the station or with the operator. Do not assume it is a connection to Vietnam’s main north-south railway.

5. Linh Phuoc Pagoda

Linh Phuoc is known for elaborate mosaic decoration, giving you plenty to notice beyond a wide exterior photograph. Allow time to look closely and keep behaviour respectful around worship areas. It lies outside the central lake district, so group it with a journey in the Trai Mat direction.

6. Truc Lam Monastery

The monastery offers a quieter setting near the Tuyen Lam Lake area. Treat it as a place of religious practice: modest clothing, low voices and attention to any closed areas. It combines naturally with nearby scenery, but confirm transport and access rather than relying on an old cable-car timetable.

7. Tuyen Lam Lake

Tuyen Lam suits a slower outing focused on forested hills and water views. Decide which shore or property you are heading to before booking transport, since the lake is not one single arrival point. If you want a boat activity, confirm the operator, conditions and what is included on the day.

8. Datanla Waterfall

Datanla combines a waterfall setting with managed visitor activities. Decide whether you want to see the falls or book a particular activity, since those are not always the same ticket. Wet paths need care, and activity restrictions can differ. Check the current options before making this the centre of your day.

9. Crazy House

Crazy House is an unusual architectural stop with winding forms and narrow routes that feel very different from a conventional building. Take your time on steps and elevated walkways, especially with children. Confirm access on arrival and choose footwear for moving around rather than only for photographs.

10. Langbiang Mountain area

Langbiang is a countryside outing, so make a plan for transport and the type of visit you want. A viewpoint ride and a guided walk are different experiences. Check current access, weather and route conditions before setting out. Cloud is part of mountain travel, not something a booking can rule out.
